The sender must have enough information and be able to present it in any way that the receiver ia able to understand by using a reliable channel.

Communication breakdown occurs when the response of the receiver us quite different from the intention of the sender society demands determine what people hear or see. They tend to select information that conflict their views that conflict with their views that causes to ineffective communication are numerous and rampant in higher institutions of learning, hence this research work will find out which impediment is more prevailing in higher institution between students.

Communications enhances free flow of information and inter departmental relations in the institution, communication also promotes speedy distributions and delivery of goods to student, it provides the link between the teachers and the seller.

Communication helps the student to be aware of what is happening and for their various activities to be harmonized.

According to Amadin (2004) is the act of passing information from one person to another. It involves the use of speech, post telephone, intercom, and massager’s service or other means.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Many problems encountered in our personal lives or in any given institution arise from poor communication. When massagers are transmitted either internally or externally there may be some impediment such as psychological noise and linguistic noise in the encoding and decoding the message thereby resulting in wrong interpretation and consequently wrong feed back will result the message influenced by those barriers that the original meaning of message is disrupted resulting in communication breakdown.

For communication to be effectively, the message must be put across in a way that the receiver can understand, interpret and give feedback which must be that conceived by the sender the factors that lead to the impediment of communication are numerous and they include noise, distortion, poor ;listening skills, lack of preparation, societal demand, unclarified assumption and bad expression.

Effective communication helps to ensure the smooth actualization of the arms and the objectives of the the institution as a result of this, there is need to identify some of the the most dominating or influential barriers to effective communication with special reference to equipment. There are many barriers to effective communication in college of education Ekiadolor benin.
