IDENTIFICATION OF DIFFICULT TEACHING TOPICS IN INTEGRATED SCIENCE AND COMPUTER SCIENCE OF JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL CURRICULUM (A CASE STUDY OF ENUGU NORTH LGA)
ABSTRACT
This research work is based on the identification of difficult teaching topics in junior secondary school curriculum. In Enugu North. The purpose of the study was to identify the difficult teaching topics in integrated and computer science. The design was a simply survey design while the instrument was purely on the questionnaire which had 30 items and 200 respondents. Data were analysed with the use of Mean, the researcher found out that the difficult teaching topics was as a result of poor knowledge of the teachers on the subject matter, poor methodologies, lack of teaching aids and abstractness of the subjects/topics. The researcher then recommended that well qualified teachers should be employed, and teachers should teach with teaching aids for effective learning to take place with appropriate methodologies. And Government should help through the position of teaching aids, organization seminar and work shops for integrated and computer science teachers.
